A page you can share with anyone

This builds a small website out of the parts of your catalog you tick below — a page anyone can open, with no sign-in and no Google account. You publish it yourself, so nobody gets at your catalog to make it work.

What it never contains: what you paid, what anything is worth, your spreadsheet, or any link back to your Drive. Those are not options that can be switched on. It is a snapshot of the moment you build it: add something to your catalog and you build it again to update the page.

Whatever you fill in appears as links near the top of your published pages. Leave a box empty and it does not appear at all. Anyone with the address can see these, so put down what you would put on a business card.

Put it online

This publishes a page to collector-catalog.com at an address nobody can guess, with a switch to take it down again. You can have as many pages as you like — one for the vintage calls, another for what you make, another for a single maker — each with its own address, and taking one down leaves the rest alone.

While the site is in testing, only invited accounts can publish. You will be asked to let the app see your email address so it can check the invitation, and that is the only thing it is used for.

Or take the files and host them yourself

The same page as a zip, with nothing of yours on anyone else’s server. Put it wherever you like.

You get a zip holding index.html and a photos folder. To put it online: open the Cloudflare dashboard, go to Workers & Pages, Create application → Pages → Upload assets, give it a name, unzip the file on your computer and drag the index.html and the photos folder in together, then press Deploy site. Cloudflare gives you a link you can hand to anyone. Any web host will do the same job — nothing in these files is particular to Cloudflare.

Your private link

This is the address of the app itself. Open it on your phone and use Add to Home Screen and it behaves like an app. Anyone opening it still has to sign in with a Google account that can reach your spreadsheet, so the link on its own gives nobody anything.
